Anna Mollekin

I was born in Thames, New Zealand and studied for a Bachelor of Media Arts in Hamilton. I now live near the beach in Auckland, New Zealand, with my family. After being a graphic designer for 18 years, I'm now following my passion for working as a full-time artist. I am also the proud owner of doodlewear, an online shop that collaborates with New Zealand artists.
 
My travels overseas to places like India and my year sabbatical living in China in 2015 revitalised and influenced my artistic path. The use of vibrant colours and patterns is evident in my work.
 
I am a New Zealand artist who primarily works with ink pen and digital drawing mediums. I am known for my bold use of lines and 2d shapes to create dimension, texture and form in my artwork. I am a proud Kiwi inspired by our wonderful country and enjoy exploring New Zealand's flora and wildlife.
